Every time I go for a walk in the woods, I hope I see an owl…and it never happens. I finally saw one tonight! It was getting dark, so this isn’t the greatest quality photo. I’ll have to go back a couple more times to look for a better shot.

What a great shot….I have one that comes to my house regularly and I have yet to get a shot as nice as this. And it’s the same species of owl that is my new friend.

Beautiful photo! I sometimes hear an owl at night perched on our chimney but never dreamed actually seeing him, maybe one day.
Thanks! I hope you get to see your owl. I saw this one right when the sun was setting. I think that is when they come out to hunt – at dawn as well.

So amazing! I hear them all the time in the woods behind my house, but haven’t seen one much less photographed one!
I was pretty excited! I’ll keep going out there when I have time. It’s hard to catch them because they only seem to come out when the light is going away.
